FRANCE

France has an extraordinary range of settings for a destination wedding. You can take over a château in the countryside, celebrate among the vineyards of Provence or Bordeaux, host an elegant weekend in Paris, or exchange vows overlooking the Mediterranean on the French Riviera.

Beyond the setting, France lends itself particularly well to the kind of wedding we love: long dinners, beautiful wine, incredible food and celebrations that extend far beyond the wedding day itself.

The question isn't whether to choose France. It's which version of France feels like you.

Provence

Provence is the France of olive groves, vineyards, warm stone houses and dinners that stretch late into the evening.

Wedding venues here range from traditional Provençal mas and private estates to vineyard properties, historic châteaux and intimate countryside hotels. Areas around Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, the Luberon and Alpilles each offer their own take on the region.

It's particularly well suited to couples who want their wedding to feel less like a formal event and more like a beautiful weekend in the French countryside.

French Rivieria

For couples dreaming of the Mediterranean but wanting something distinctly French, the Côte d'Azur delivers.

From grand hotels and Belle Époque villas to private estates overlooking the sea, the stretch between Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Nice and Monaco offers some of France's most spectacular wedding settings.

The Riviera naturally lends itself to a full destination weekend: welcome drinks by the water, a wedding overlooking the Mediterranean and a beach club or pool day to finish.

Paris

A Parisian wedding doesn't have to mean getting married at the Eiffel Tower.

While Paris itself offers extraordinary hotels, private residences and historic spaces, the countryside surrounding the capital is filled with châteaux and private estates that offer an entirely different experience - often while remaining accessible from Paris and its airports.

That combination can be particularly attractive for international weddings: guests can spend a few days exploring Paris before escaping to the French countryside for the celebration itself.

Best for: Châteaux · Historic architecture · City + countryside · International accessibility · Formal celebrations

Bordeaux

For couples whose idea of a perfect wedding weekend involves exceptional food and even better wine, Bordeaux deserves serious consideration.

The surrounding countryside is filled with vineyard estates, wine-producing châteaux and historic properties that can create an immersive French destination-wedding experience.

And beyond Bordeaux itself, Southwest France opens up an even larger collection of countryside estates and châteaux - making it an interesting region for couples willing to look beyond France's most obvious wedding destinations.

Best for: Wine lovers · Vineyard weddings · Châteaux · Food-focused celebrations · Countryside escapes
